Participants expecting to travel to Cozumel, Mexico via the USA are requested to enquire about the relevant visa requirements as soon as possible.

The following countries DO NOT require VISA for entry into Mexico:

  • Airport Cancun to Playa del Carmen (Bus or Taxi) to Cozumel (Ferry)

    The Transportation time from Cancun to Cozumel takes about 2 hours depending on the ferry schedule. However, depending on airport traffic, immigration, luggage pick up and customs may take about 1 hour. You have the choice of taking a Taxi to Playa del Carmen (ca. USD$65.00and 50 minutes) or the Bus (ca. USD$8.00 and 70 minutes) which leaves every hour from the Airport directly to Playa del Carmen and usually will arrive a few minutes before the next ferry crossing to Cozumel. The last bus leaves at 8:45. Be sure to hire your transportation at a booth before you exit the airport.

    The walking distance from the Taxi and Bus terminal in Playa del Carmen to the Ferry pier is less than 5 Minutes.

    The Ferry (big modern Waterjets and Catamaran) takes about 45 minutes to Cozumel. The following ferry schedule may change but keep in mind that the last crossing is at 11:00 pm (23 hrs).
    Ferry Schedule Playa del Carmen to Cozumel: 6:00am; 8:00am; 9:00am; 10:00am; 11:00am; 13:00pm; 15:00pm; 17:00pm; 18:00pm; 19:00 pm; 21:00pm; 23:00pm.

    The Prices for the Ferry for a Roundtrip is $ 24 USD (One way: $ 12 USD). Ticketsale is directly in front of the Pier.

• Mexico City/Airport to Cozumel/Airport or Cancun/Airport

  From Mexico City you have the option to fly directly (ones a day) to Cozumel or to fly to Cancun/Airport with "Mexicana" and "Aeromexico".

How to book through Continental Airlines?

Reservation Information - Call your professional travel agency or Continental Airlines MeetingWorks at 800-468-7022 and provide the Z Code ZTF9 and Agreement Code UN1YGJ. The service fee is non-refundable and applies to all itineraries, one-way or roundtrip.
